LEGO Indiana Jones Walkthrough-Last Crusade, Level 1: The Hunt for Sir Richard

Walkthrough

Ah, Venice
Run over to the blue and white retracted awning and pull the lever underneath it to extend it. Select Elsa and have her jump to grab the rope hanging down from the right side of the red metal gate. Jump off the rope, land on the rooftop, jump to the awning, and then to the ledge above. Jump off the ledge to the walkway with the white beach chairs on it.


Jump across the awnings to get the crank (pictured right).

Free Play: Have Willie jump up to the glass windows, through which is a treasure chest. Scream, and the windows will break. Pick up the first treasure chest.

Select Indy, have him run over to the green and yellow retracted awning and pull the lever below it to extend the awning. Switch back to Elsa, and jump from awning to awning in order to reach the yellow crank. Pick up the crank and drop down to ground level. Run over to the device on the left side of the drawn bridge, insert the crank, and turn it to extend a small wooden platform.


Have Indy swing across to the other side of the river.

Select Indy, have him stand on this wooden platform, and swing across to the other side of the harbor. Run up to the small arched gate, punch it, and retrieve the crank. Carry this over to the device next to the drawbridge, and turn the crank to have the bridge fit into place, allowing Elsa and Brody to join Indy.


You can find the other crank hidden behind these bars.

Free Play: To the right of the arched gate with bars is a mechanical device. Destroy it to reveal a set of Lego parts. Assemble them to create a cubby hole. Crawl through the cubby hole with a small character and you'll appear on the walkway above. Run into the interior walkway to pick up the second treasure chest. Also, while you're up here, pull the nearby lever to raise the water gate below. Drop down into the water and swim through the recently opened passageway.

Mail Parcel Location: After pulling the lever next to the second treasure chest, climb out of the water and destroy the wooden gate to the left. Walk up, pull the lever, and this will extend a white platform. Before you step on that, switch to Indy and use his whip on the brown platform to drop the mail parcel to the ground. Pick up the parcel, stand on the white platform, and it will automatically raise you up to the balcony above.

Set the parcel down, and then destroy all the wooden gates and desks by punching them. Pick up the crank from the remains of the desks and enter the small room to your right. Insert the crank into the device, and turn it to extend a wooden platform below the window. Pick up the parcel and jump onto the wooden platform that you just extended.

Carry the parcel over to the far right of this area. Use Indy's whip to grab it off of the ledges.

Jump off of the platform to the square stone platform to your right, jump again to your right to the walkway, and then jump down the ladder. Place the parcel into the mailbox to have Parcel Detector become available for purchase from the Barnett College mailroom.


Drop the parcel in the mailbox so you can purchase the unlockable from Barnett College.

Walk over to the green doorway with the hieroglyphics above the doorway and have Elsa interpret the symbols so that the door opens, allowing you to go inside the library.

Free Play: The far right of this area is a small glass area housing a green scooter. Destroy the glass casing by throwing an object at it and a series of cones will appear. Take control of the scooter and drive over each cone for the third treasure chest to appear.

Inside the Venice Library
After entering the library, run to the colored library books to your left. Punch the colored books to reveal a pull switch, then pull it for the first crate of parts. Carry it over to the marked green area in the middle of the library.

Destroy the bookcase to your left to reveal the lever.

Next to this book shelf is a statue on top of a checkered floor. Assemble the Lego parts to complete the rest of the checkered tiles. Push the statue all the way to the right to reveal a set of swords on the walkway above you.

The second crate of parts is located on the above ledge.

On the right side of the library, next to the ladder on the bookshelf, is a series of green and red Lego parts. Assemble these parts to create a panel that will attach to the ladder. Push the ladder all the way to the right, climb the ladder and pick up the second crate of parts, and place it on the marked green area. Below the stain glass window is the third crate of parts for you to pick up. Place it on the marked green area in the middle of the library.

To the left of the colorful stained glass window is a wooden square. As Indy, stand on the square, and whip it to reveal a green and red panel. Push this panel to create a spiral staircase. Walk up the staircase to the upper walkway and pick up one of the swords against the wall (created by pushing the statue across the checkered tiles earlier.) Carry it to the zone to the left of swords and throw it at the ropes holding a metal gate in place. Remove the ropes and pick up the fourth treasure chest.

Once you've collect all of the parts, assemble them to create an X in the middle of the Library.

Have Elsa interpret the symbols on the wall in this area to have the fourth crate of parts appear. Carry it down to the marked area and assemble all of the green piles of Lego pieces for a green X in the middle of the library.

Select Indy, walk up the spiral staircase, jump to the right, grab the rope, shimmy across the brown railings to the upper right walkway. Stand on the wooden platform and use the whip on the chandelier so it drops into the X, revealing a hole in the floor, underneath the library.


Use Indy's whip to grab the chandelier to cause it to fall through the floor below.

Free Play: Select an Enemy Officer, assemble the ladder near the bookcase, and climb it to interact with the enemy guard shack. This will open up a secret room resembling a listening post. Destroy everything in here to reveal two small stacks of Lego parts. Assemble them to create two discs. Carry these discs over to the device, jump on each of the individual discs to cycle through a bunch of symbols, and match them up so they look like this in Roman numeral form: V VII III . After you do this, the fifth treasure chest will appear.

The Library Catacombs
Destroy the white coffin to your left to reveal a shovel. Walk down the catacombs and dig at the shiny area on the ground to reveal a crate of parts. Pick up and carry this crate towards the marked green area. Assemble the parts to create a fan. Across from the fan is a large crate. Pull out the crate, switch to Elsa, and have her jump up to the top of the crate, and stand on a pressure button activating the fan to reveal a hieroglyphics wall. Have Elsa interpret the symbols to dissolve the wall so you can proceed deeper into the catacombs.

Free Play Skeleton Hunt: You must five skeletons in order to access the caged treasure chest. The first skeleton is in the white coffin, in front of the caged treasure chest. The second skeleton is to the right of the sparkling area on the ground inside the catacombs. Pull out the coffin from the side of the wall to have the skeleton appear. Next to this area is a grey totem statue. Have a Thuggee interact with it for the third skeleton to drop from the ceiling. The fourth skeleton is behind a wooden fence next to the swarm of rats later in the level. Punch the wooden fence to have the skeleton pop out. The fifth skeleton is trapped behind bars in the water area after the rat area, and before you uncover Sir Richard's tomb. To free the trapped skeleton, swim to the bottom of the water area and over the three circular valves. The bars open, and the last skeleton will float to the top of the water. Now, run back to the beginning of the catacombs and pick up the sixth treasure chest freed from the cage.

Walk towards the group of rats and Elsa will become indisposed. Switch to Indy, jump over the rats, and grab a torch from the wall. The rats are afraid of fire, so walk back towards them with the torch. Elsa will be free to jump across the rats and join Indy.

Switch to Elsa, have her jump up and grab the rope under the marked flower stream to remove the spikes around the lever. Pull the lever to have the passageway in front of the characters open up. Proceed deeper into the catacombs.

Shimmy across the brown railing to make it to the next area.

Have Indy and Elsa shimmy across the brown railing so they're in front of the arched cages. Have Elsa jump up and grab the rope hanging from the ceiling, then quickly switch to Indy and have him jump from platform to platform. Use his whip at the top platform to destroy the cob web, revealing a red lever, and then use his whip again to pull this red lever to raise a walkway above the water. Have Elsa and Indy each pull one of the levers on either side of this walkway to enter the Sir Richard's tomb.

Free Play: Have a female character jump up and grab the rope hanging down from the ceiling. This will create a small cubby hole that a small character can crawl through and appear on the walkway above. Walk over to the far right, select a character with a shovel, and dig at the shiny area on the ground. The character will drop through the floor, step on a pressure button removing the bars from the nearby seventh treasure chest. Pick it up.

Push the white blocks into place over the smaller squares.

Have Indy use his whip on the wooden platform for a white Lego block to fall from the ceiling. Push this block all the way to the right, have Elsa jump on top of it, and then jump to the upper right area with Lego blocks. Push this block to the ground floor, and have each block cover one of the smaller squares on the ground.

Free Play: Before pushing the blocks into place, push one all the way to the far left of the checkered floor. Select a female character to jump to the upper left, onto the wooden platform, switch to Indy, and swing across to the other side of the room and pick up the eighth treasure chest.

This will cause both of the squares to descend into the ground creating two square buttons. Have each character stand on these buttons to reveal a large white coffin. Push this coffin towards the top of the screen, jump on top of it, and then jump to Sir Richard's coffin at the top of the screen to trigger a cut-scene.

Kazim Boss Battle
The first part of the fight is easy. Land two punches on Kazim, and he'll run away and jump into his boat. Run to the same boat dock, and commandeer a boat. Now chase after Kazim in the boat harbor.

Walk up to Kazim, punch him twice, and he'll run away.

Free Play: There are ten buoys in this boat harbor circling the inner island that Kazim will jump to later in the fight. Destroy all ten buoys to have the ninth treasure chest appear in the middle of the island.

To obtain the tenth treasure chest, operate the crane on the right bank of this harbor. Have one character take control of the crane, pick up the other character, and transfer them to the upper walkway behind the crane. Take control of that character; select a female character to jump on each of the squares to reach the upper walkway, and then jump on top of the tower. Select a rocket trooper to destroy the metal hatch at the top of the tower, then drop through the hole, and pick up the treasure chest.

Ram into Kazim's boat to damage it.

You can damage Kazim's boat by ramming it with yours. Hit his boat three times and he'll retreat to the small island in the middle of the harbor. On the island, punch Kazim two times, and he'll retreat back to his boat.


In the last section of the fight, jump onto Kazim's boat, and attack him until the cut-scene starts.

Return to your boat and chase Kazim in the harbor. Again, ram his boat three times and he'll retreat near the large tanker's propeller blades. Drive your boat over there, jump out the boat, and punch him two times.
