Simpsons Game Walkthrough: Episode 6- Enter the Cheatrix

Enter the Cheatrix

You will notice that Springfield has been invaded by aliens, a sure sign that the episodes will begin to get even more complex. Navigating around Springfield to get to the marker for each episode, you must dodge and/or defeat the aliens running loose in the streets.

550x275
“I gotta move this candy, alien invasion or not.”

Malibu Stacy Seals: 8
Krusty Coupons: 8
Videogame Clichés: 2

Videogame Cliché #10 appears just as the level begins. There is nothing for you to do to get it; in fact, the level doesn’t actually begin until you close it.

550x275
“Reading is for nerds. Hop in!”

As soon as you begin, walk forward and slightly to the left, in order to pick up the page from the strategy guide. This will give Bart the Bartman Grapple ability. Once you have it, you’ll get to use it right away. Face the hook over the next platform and press Δ (triangle) to grapple over. When you’re there, face the next platform and you’ll see two more hooks. Press Δ (triangle) again to get to the middle hook and as soon as you drop from that one immediately press Δ (triangle) again to grab the next hook and land on the third platform. On this platform you’ll find a switch. Activate it and the lid covering the pipe on the platform that you left Lisa on will now open. Switch to Lisa and jump into the pipe. You’re chasing an ape and transporting through pipes, so you’re officially in the Mario Brothers parody. They even come out of the pipes with their bodies in the running position so you feel completely at home.

550x163
Princess Peach Simpson to the rescue!

With both characters safely on the platform, walk over and step on one of the large red buttons on the floor. The other character will step on the other button and the lid will open on the pipe in front of you. Jump in the pipe to move to the next section. When you come out the other side you’ll be in a long narrow area with all kinds of machinery around you. Switch to Bart, walk to the end of the black and yellow walkway and press Δ (triangle) to grapple to the other side of the gap. You will immediately claim the Krusty Coupon as you arrive. Activate the switch in front of you when you get there.

550x163
It’s not going to be nearly as tough as it looks.

The switch turns off the weird stuff happening on the conveyor below you so that both you and Lisa can pass. Drop down to the conveyor and walk forward to the area on the left. Meet your new enemy, the football player. Take him out by whatever means you are comfortable with and to keep more from coming, press the red button next to the elevator doors. Then, jump onto the spring pad next to the “Fragile” box and you’ll be bounced up to another switch. Activate it so you can move further along the conveyor.

550x163
Ever since playing this game I now dive out of the way when elevator doors open.

Just a short way down the conveyor you’ll find another small area similar to the first with a couple more football players hanging around. Take care of them and push the button next to the elevator to prevent more from coming. When you’ve brought peace to this corner, break the boxes to the left of the elevator to find a Malibu Stacy Seal for Lisa. When she has it, switch to Bart and look across the green goo river up to the platform with the Buddha on it. Press Δ (triangle) to grapple up to the platform and activate the switch here to make the coin platform begin to swing back and forth.

550x163
Figure out where the green goo fits into all this.

Switch back to Lisa and hop onto the coin platform. Ride it around to the ladder on the corner of the platform Bart is on and jump to the ladder. Crawl up to the top and activate the Hand of Buddha. There are two things we can accomplish here. We can advance to the next area or we can grab collectibles. Of course, we are going to grab collectibles first! Pick up the gears from the pile closest to you, and lay them in the configuration shown below. This will lower a grapple wire that Bart can use to slide out to a Krusty Coupon, so allow him to do so. Getting back from the collectible must be a trick. It was much faster just to fall off and die. You’ll respawn right back on the platform.

550x163
Gears of Krusty.

Once you’ve got the coupon, switch back to Lisa and activate the Hand of Buddha again. Now reconfigure the gears into the layout shown below, and the small platforms at the end of the conveyor will now begin to rise and fall. Now that everything is in place, exit the Buddha but don’t leave the platform quite yet. Turn and face towards where you came from. In the distance you should see the Malibu Stacy Seal at the end of another long, lower platform. Run down there and grab it, then return back to the money platform and get back over to the conveyor belt side.

550x163
This area is littered with collectibles.

Now go to the end of the conveyor and hop up the small platforms that you activated with the gears. At the top look to the right of the green transport pipe and grab yet another Malibu Stacy Seal.

550x278
Try not to fall in the green goo.

Once Lisa has the collectible in her four little fingers, switch to Bart. This time when you reach the top of the small platforms, take a left at the green transport pipe and hop up onto the structure labeled “Health Packs." Walk around to the other end of it and find the sixth and last collectible in this area. Now go back to the green transport pipe and jump in.

550x278
Another Krusty pack.

You end up back in the main area you started this episode in, only higher up. Right away look slightly to the left and you should see yet another Malibu Stacy Seal on the ductwork. Switch to Lisa and grab onto the thin ledge where the shiny spot is. Shimmy around to the other side and jump off to grab the collectible. Once you have it, jump over to the next platform. Collectively step on the red switches to open the next pipe and jump in.

550x163
With all the collectibles you’ve picked up, you’d think you were near the end of this episode.

When you drop into the next area, the Blood Room, you will once again meet a new enemy. Enter the Kung Fu Guy. These nasty little creeps toss fireballs at you Mortal Kombat style. Use the powers of either character to eliminate the first enemy from the conveyor. When he is out of the way, switch to Lisa and grab the pole to the right of the conveyor. Slide down and you’ll find a Malibu Stacy Seal under the conveyor belt.

550x163
This is getting ridiculous.

Climb back up and jump off the pole to the catwalk on the right. Use the spring pad to bounce up to the next level where you’ll be immediately attacked by more Kung Fu Guys. If you’d like to switch to Bart at this point, there is a RoboBart power-up at the end of this ledge. This will make it a lot easier to fight your way through these guys and around the corner to push the button next to the elevator to make them stop. When its all clear here, switch back to Lisa and activate the nearby Hand of Buddha.

550x163
There is more than one Mortal Kombat reference here. Check out the “Fatality” scrawled on the wall by the elevator.

Here you need to grab the gray pipes off the front of the blood vats. Just pull them both off and drop them wherever you want. This will drain blood from the vats revealing catwalk pieces inside. Just pick up the two pieces and drop them in the gaps to complete the catwalk. Then deactivate the Hand of Buddha because Kung Fu Guys are coming for you.

550x163
This room has to work double shifts to release a Resident Evil game.

The best way to do this is to switch back to Bart and grab the RoboBart power up again. Run across the catwalk Lisa just put together, shooting the Kung Fu Guys and the one lonely football player down at the other end. Jump up using the spring pad on the other side and over to the left to deactivate the elevator as quickly as you can. If things get a little tight for you, switch to Lisa and grab the Clobber Girl power up in the middle of the catwalk to finish things off.

550x163
Anyone care to guess what “BFC” stands for?

When everything to that point has been cleared, look just to the left of the elevator for another page from the strategy guide. This one is for Lisa and contains the Super Saxophone. Now when Lisa uses her Sax, the stunned enemies will attack each other. Getting this power-up will cause a black and yellow pole to rise up from the floor, as we would expect.

550x275
In the newest Ratchet and Clank, this was called the “Confuzzler."

Switch to Bart and climb the pole. Jump onto the slanted roof when you get to the top, then jump down again to the short conveyor below. Be careful to dodge the fireballs, iceballs and footballs tossed at you from below. Run across the short conveyor to the platform in the middle and get the Krusty Coupon. Once you’ve got it, jump and float to the lower area from which you were shot from.

550x163
Doesn’t look like he’s going to make it in that screenshot on the right does it?

Run over to where the word “reload” is written on the wall and grab the RoboBart power up. Now you can easily get rid of the attacking Kung Fu Guys and football players while you deactivate the elevator. When things are all smoothed out, go to the switch in the middle of this area and activate it to stop the glowing bomb beam thing on the conveyor. Run into the area you just gave yourself access to and head around the boxes to take care of the football player and deactivate another elevator. Clear out the boxes and hop on the spring pad to continue on.

550x163
For some sideline entertainment, take the time to read the signs on the wall.

When you get up above, there will be another football player and more in the area down below to your right. There is a Clobber Girl power-up in the lower area under the word “rampage” to make things a little easier. Clear out the football players and deactivate their elevator. Before we go any further, let’s be sure to pick up the two collectibles stashed around here first. In the upper area across from the sign that says “poor sportsmanship,” jump up onto the dark gray pipe. Switch to Lisa if you haven’t already and run all the way across the pipe to get the Malibu Stacy Seal. Once she has it, switch to Bart and jump just to the right of where the Malibu Stacy Seal was onto the blue slanted roof. Run up to the upper right corner of this roof and grab the Krusty Coupon.

550x163
We love to see a Duff Bottle Top about now.

Head back over to the area with “rampage” on the wall and flip the switch found in the middle here. This will shut down the green sword beam blocking the conveyor, and allow you to access the green transport pipe that lies behind it. Reach it and jump in.

550x163
All Bart was trying to do was sell some band candy, and this is where he ends up.

You end up back out in the main section of the Game Engine. Jump onto the spring pad right in front of you and you’ll bounce up to a platform above. Pull out Bart’s Sling Shot and target the very sad, slow Sonic the Hedgehog in front of the bullseye. Put the silly blue thing out of its misery. You can now get across the catwalk to the next green transport pipe, so jump back down to the platform you came up from and cross the catwalk to jump into the pipe.

550x163
They could have at least rolled him up into a ball and spun him to his death.

Welcome to marketing! Stick with Bart for the moment and head forward and then left. Jump across the pink “NEW” tags and hop onto the short yellow and black pole. Jump from this pole to the taller one and then onto the large platform. Jump from the large platform to the spring pad just around the corner which will bounce you up to the top. Now head toward the end of the blue catwalk and stop.

550x163
It’s real busy down below!

Turn to your left and look for a hook you can grapple to by pressing Δ (triangle). It will be hard to miss because it is a small platform with an elevator and a Kung Fu Guy shooting fireballs at you. Grapple over, defeat the Kung Fu Guy and deactivate the elevator or you’ll be there all day. When you have that handled, look over to the right and you’ll see that you can hop across to the QA office situated above the main floor. Go over there and grab the Krusty Coupon in the middle of the office.

550x163
“You Simpsons are belong to us!”

Now jump down to the main floor. It looks a little crazed over here, but there is a RoboBart power-up on the floor right in front of you. Grab it, and then deactivate the elevator right in front of that. Turn to the left and run down and deactivate the other elevator much further down and across the main floor. When both elevators are down, take care of whatever straggling football players and Kung Fu Guys remain. If you need to, keep away from trouble as much as possible and wait for the RoboBart power up to respawn.

550x163
Be sure not to miss the dead guy sitting at his desk in the QA office before you leave.

Bart has had enough fun for a while, so switch over to Lisa. Hop across all of the “NEW” tags, pausing to get your bearings on the center conveyor. Jump quickly and precisely as the tags will sink as you land on them. When you finally make it to the platform at the end, you’ll be rewarded with the Malibu Stacy Seal. Since getting out here was so fun, now you get to jump all the way back. When you return to the other end, jump onto the short yellow and black pole and follow the same route Bart took to get to the main floor. Obviously, you can skip the QA office.

550x278
Sinking platforms -- so many clichés were missed in this game.

When Bart and Lisa are together again on the main floor, switch to Bart. Look for the piece of wall with exposed electronics. Bartman can climb this as long as he avoids the sparks. Climb up to the first ledge, walk around the corner and climb up one more short piece of wall to the top. When you get there immediately turn to the right and you’ll see an elevator. If you’re quick enough you may be able to deactivate it before the football player pops out. If not, well then it’s just one guy. Nothing Bartman can’t handle.

550x163
Brings new meaning to the Electric Slide! You do remember the Electric Slide, don’t you?

Continue along and hop on the conveyor that will take you past the “EA” stamps. Time your pauses to get past the 3 stamps. When you get by, look on the left side of the conveyor under the “fun” meter and grab the Krusty Coupon. When you have it, hop up on the red and gray platform and switch to Lisa.

550x163
We’re just racking up the missed clichés here.

Head over and climb the ladder of the platform just past the last “Maddening 09” poster. When you get to the top, activate the Hand of Buddha. Pick up the block on the ground with the target painted on it and drop it on the platform directly in front of you. This will cause the platform to slide to the left and a hook will come down. Guess what the hook is for?

550x163
“Maddening” was the most accurate thing we've seen this whole game!

Switch back over to Bart and face the platform nearest you. Press Δ (triangle) to grapple to the hook above it. When you arrive on that platform, turn to the platform that Lisa just moved for you and grapple to it as well. When you arrive here, switch back to Lisa.

550x278
This could get tedious.

Again, activate the Hand of Buddha and pick up the block with the target on it from the first platform Bart grappled to. Place it on the platform that is just ahead and to the right of Bart. When it’s in place, switch back to Bart again. Again, grapple to the platform Lisa just moved for you and switch back to Lisa.

550x163
You’re probably getting the picture here.

This is the last one, we promise. Activate the Hand of Buddha one more time and pick up the target block Bart just left from. Drop it onto the platform furthest from you on the right and switch back to Bart. Grapple to the last platform Lisa moved for you.

550x163
OK, you’re done with this. Time to get out of here.

Now that you’ve made it this far, turn to the right and float down to the platform below to find a switch. Activate the switch and you’ll be rewarded with Videogame Cliché #11. It will also open the glass doors that cover the red buttons in the middle of the room. With the buttons now exposed Bart and Lisa can now go stand on them to open the lid of the green transport pipe and get out of this damn room!

550x163
To the boss fight!

You’ve made it to the scene of the final boss. First thing to do is to have Bart jump onto the spring pad and he’ll grab the wire so he can grapple across. When you arrive at the other side there are several football players. There is an elevator you can see behind a goal post as well, but there is nothing you can do with it. If you are quick enough, these football players are pretty stupid. You can just dodge their attacks and a lot of the time they’ll just charge themselves right off the edge and fall to their own death. When it’s safe to continue, find the switch in the middle of the walkway and activate it to open the lid to the green transport pipe where Lisa still is. When it’s open, switch to Lisa.

550x163
Anything look familiar down there?

Hop into the transport pipe to join Bart on the other side. When you get there, run over to the Buddha. You can barely see it as you approach, but there is another page from the strategy guide lying right in front of the Buddha. When you step on it you’ll be given the Power Flick upgrade. Now when you are using the Hand of Buddha you can flick your enemies to their death by pressing the square button. Activate the Hand of Buddha and you’ll even get a football player to practice on. Give him a flick and the green goo will drain revealing another green transport pipe. Exit Buddha and hop into the new pipe.

550x163
Now that is a whole lot more fun than the moving and grappling thing !

This is one big brawl and unfortunately there will be no deactivating of elevators to stop it. The things that will save you are hidden under the boxes spread around the area. In the middle nearest to our Donkey Kong friend is a Clobber Girl power up. In the middle, but further back from Donkey Kong, you’ll find a RoboBart power-up. You’ll also see a Buddha hanging out here, but leave it for a moment. We’ll get to it. Under some boxes on the left side of the area, close to Donkey Kong, you’ll find Lisa’s last Malibu Stacy Seal for the episode. In the same spot on the opposite side of the area under some boxes, you’ll also find Bart’s last Krusty Coupon for the episode. When you’ve got those things, we can now set about putting this ape as well as this episode out of its misery.

550x163
Football players, Kung Fu Guys and a big monkey!

The object here is pretty simple; you just have to keep your wits about you. Donkey Kong is set back away from the front of his “stage”. You have to keep yourself alive and the enemies dying while you wait for Donkey Kong to move to the edge of his “stage”. When he is close to the edge, activate the Hand of Buddha and use your new Power Flick on Donkey Kong. 3 flicks are all it takes to send Donkey Kong to his green goo doom. The biggest hassle here is staying alive between flicks. Use your power ups alternately and you should have no problem seeing this fight through to the end. When it’s over, all you get is a real short, pretty sad cut-scene.

550x163
See ya’, MonkeyDude!
